Nissan is performing a large recall of more than 900,000 vehicles globally, but in the U.S. the only model that is affected is the 2006-2010 Infiniti M lineup.

The Problem: A defect in the car's accelerator sensor can cause the vehicle to go into a fail-safe mode when the pedal is pushed to the right while depressed. This could cause the engine to stall in some cases like when idling or coming to a stop.

The Fix: Infiniti will be notifying owners starting in November. Dealers will replace the accelerator pedal and reprogram the engine control module for free.

Voltage Transformers & Regulators Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: In the U.S., vehicles potentially affected include 98,300 Infiniti M models, including M35 and M45 models. Nissan is also recalling 908,900 vehicles globally for this issue, 764,800 of which are in Japan, including the Nissan Serena, X-Trail, Lafesta, and Fuga models.
