IKEA has revealed two new smart lighting products under the range name PILSKOTT. The gadgets are an LED floor lamp and an LED pendant lamp. Both devices are made using a bendable LED light strip, expected to last 25,000 hours, and the light can be dimmed to suit your mood or save energy.
To use the smart lights, you must also have the IKEA TRADFRI remote control like the Wireless dimmer, which costs €6.99 (~US$7.50) or £7.50. Alternatively, you can control the products via the IKEA Home smart app. The PILSKOTT floor lamp has a concrete base and anodized aluminum housing, measuring 112 x 30 x 12 cm (~44 x 12 x 5-in). The 14.5 W lamp has a maximum brightness of 700 lm and a built-in dimmer switch along the 2.0 m (~6.6 ft) power cable. Landscape Lighting
The sculptural PILSKOTT pendant lamp is brighter, with up to 1,100 lm available. The 16.5 W device measures 97 x 4 cm (~38 x 2-in) and comes with a ceiling mount. The same black anodized aluminum housing is used for this LED light. You can buy the IKEA PILSKOTT LED floor lamp in the UK and EU for €79.99 (~US$87) or £90. The IKEA PILSKOTT LED pendant lamp retails for €79.99 (~US$87) or £80. It is unclear whether or when these gadgets will arrive in other markets, such as North America.
