EcoFasten debuts click-in-place solar roof mount in U.S. market

EcoFasten, a solar mounting hardware company and part of Esdec U.S., is making its rail-based, click-in-place ClickFit Rooftop Solar System available to all installers in the United States.

Parent company Esdec popularized ClickFit in Europe before entering the U.S. solar market in 2018. Known for speedy installs with its “click-in” technology, EcoFasten has already received over 100 MW of commitments for ClickFit and is continuing to take orders. Ev Charger Single Gun

“Time is money in solar installation. That’s why we’re extremely excited to bring the fastest-installing solar racking system to the U.S. solar market,” said Bart Leusink, CEO of EcoFasten. “There has been a tremendous response on ClickFit from installers. Its speed is well-documented, and it has all the roof protection that customers demand.”

ClickFit is made for mounting on composition shingle and tile roofs. The system saves solar installers considerable time on the job. EcoFasten reported that installers were able to place 20 modules in 90 minutes. ClickFit’s unique features allow the system to “click” together — the aluminum rail clicks onto either the L-foot or tile hook without the need to tighten additional fasteners, and the module clamps click onto the rails.

Installers using ClickFit see a significant productivity increase over other rail-based systems, EcoFasten stated in a press release.

EcoFasten is under the umbrella of Esdec U.S. companies, including solar mounting providers Quick Mount PV and IronRidge. With its established resources, Esdec is encouraging its companies to invest in new product development. EcoFasten expects to have ClickFit for metal roof applications available soon.
