When Alejandro Vargas, President of Miami Lighting Design, was working on the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Sunny Isles Beach Florida, he chose a large selection of USAI products because of their versatility of applications, style, and color LED quality.
Vargas was inspired by the architectural design of the tower – organic shapes, the ocean water, and wind creating movement. He followed the lead of the tower by designing an interior lighting plan with USAI Lighting fixtures that created rhythm in the ceilings not by organizing the recessed downlights symmetrically, but rather with a random layout. All of the fixtures specified were trimless, offering a clean aesthetic in the totality of the interiors.
Each fixture has its own individual control and specific lumen outputs due to the differences in ceiling heights. This concept was followed on every floor.
